World-famous Art Deco architect L. Murray Dixon built the house in 1933 and was originally designed as a single-family residence. It was expanded and modified nine years later for use as a Jewish synagogue. The Temple House was enlarged yet again in 1965 bringing it to16, 350 square feet, its present size. In 2003 Daniel Davidson the current owner, spent two-years renovating to improve the property. While preserving its original architecture and simple beauty he installed plumbing, electrical and air conditioning components into the home.
The Temple House now consists of five bedrooms and six bathrooms, which allows plenty of space for family members and guests. This house also includes a 400-square-foot, sound-proof media room, which was designed for recording music and to viewing films and has a 100-inch projection screen with surround-sound speakers. The living room at 6,600-square-foot can seat an entire orchestra with audience and has on several occasions. Al Gore, former Vice President once addressed a gathering of 150 people in this room.
The Temple House is located 1415 Euclid Avenue which is next to Flamingo Park and is only four blocks from the Ocean. The house takes up two adjacent lots and is within walking distance to Lincoln Road Mall.
